Great day, Taking ownership of an ICE TRICE X2 EXPEDITION TANDEM.

The first owners from new took delivery the end September 2000  in LOUGHBOROUGH LEICS.

And had three owners in its life time, I am the third owner not the forth owner, I have just been courted by its last owner Caroline  :-)  I hope you are not missing it to much :-) 

Its showing its age a little but it was all in working order, and I am so pleased to finally Owen one.

Not a lot has been done to it over the Years, the last owners who were in Norfolk who kindly sold it to me, uprated the brakes and had a new chain fitted, which is a testament for the quality of the original billed at ICE.

So, I think its time for it to have a total re fit, and will replace all the moving parts, chains, chain rings rear cassette and all the wiring and levers, Ice are looking to see if they have any new seat covers for it, as the originals are OK but it will look better with new ones.

Barry the Mechanic will be fitting new short cranks on it so we will take a look at the bottom ends at the same time and front chain rings, there is a lot of movement in the head races and siting column, so we will pull them out and have a look see if they need renewing, or new bearings in the steering column its self. None of which are a problem to fix or replace, but it will be nice to know its in 100% condition for when we set off on it.

I must change the mud guards to silver is not something I think goes with a nice red frame, they have to be Blake.
